Many of my clients are interested in their relationships. I have gotten to the point in which I can, often, discern the nature of the chart before I even see it, just by the particular questions asked of me prior to the chart reading. I think I can help you identify ten aspects that may be present in an unhappy relationship. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
1. Chiron conjunct the North Node
The theme of this relationship WILL be pain. The degrees are very important, as they always are. In this case, if there was a 1-3 orb, I would expect a pain theme for the duration of the relationship
2. One’s Person’s Sun is Unaspected to the Chart of the Other
When this occurs, in any relationship, there will be an emptiness, in my opinion. Through no fault of either party, there is an essential disconnection which can never be remedied.
3. One Person’s Moon is Unaspected to the Chart of the Other
This scenario is very similar to the one above. However, it would be even harder. In the instance of the Sun, there would be an essential misunderstanding of the ego/identity/personality of the other. In the case of the Moon, it is the deepest, most interior core of the other. Hence, it is harder.
4. Moon square or oppose Saturn
This aspect is not a “kiss of death”. Saturn holds relationships together. Saturn tells us to eat our peas before we have our dessert. In the same way, Saturn tells us to stay with our beloved when a prettier model walks by. Hence, I do not mean to give Saturn a totally bad rap. However, with that being said, the Moon person may feel very criticized by the Saturn person. The Moon person may feel as if she cannot do anything right in the eyes of the Saturn person.
5. One person’s Chiron conjunct a Personal planet of the Other
A Personal Planet is Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, and Venus. In these case, the relationship will, usually, become very intense, very fast. However, a small slight will, usually, occur from which the relationship cannot survive and it seems to break apart, never to be reignited.
6. One Person’s Nessus conjunct the Personal Planets of the Other
Nessus is the asteroid of abuse. The Nessus person may feel a strong urge to abuse the Planet person. This is really not the fault of the Nessus person, per se. It is the energy of the charts.
7. One Person’s Eros Conjunct the Saturn of the Other
Saturn cools what it touches. Saturn is like an ice cube. One does not want an ice cube next to the asteroid of the Erotic. N’cest pas?
8. One Person’s Jupiter Conjunct the Nemesis of the Other
Jupiter enlarges what it touches, for better or worse. Hence, the asteroid of the enemy, Nemesis, would not want to be magnified in a relationship.
9 Mars square Mars
These natives may start out in a very passionate way but end up in the manner of “The War of the Roses”. Catch the flick if you have this aspect in synastry.
10. Moon square Moon
This aspect would be the kiss of death, for me. Some people argue that there are relationships with longevity in which this aspect exists. I don’t take personal accounts from third parties. If *I* see a pattern from doing many charts, I will count on that. People deceive themselves. Hence, the Astrologer needs to look to the chart and not personal testimonies, in such cases.
