I realize as I write these articles that personal preferences in Moon signs will be inherent to each person. This is the result of his own chart and his own Moon. Hence, I, as a Cancer Moon, find that many of my friends are Capricorn Moons. Capricorn is in the Detriment. One would think that many people would not like this Moon sign. However, I love it. I have to qualify this, though. I would not like this sign in a partner. I do like it in a platonic male friend and in female friends. I will explain why. Hopefully, this will help you to understand your own personal preferences.
I am a Cancer Moon, as I said. The opposite Moon is Capricorn. Hence, there is a resonance between these two Moons. The resonance is opposite, though. By that, I mean that the Cancer Moon and the Capricorn will have an opposing perceptual outlook.In this case, the Cancer Moon responds more instinctively from the heart. The Capricorn Moon responds more instinctively from the head. Opposite Moons appreciate each other. They offer a new and enlightening perspective to each other. In my opinion, opposite Moons would not be good for marriage because, in time, I think the differences would lead to frustration and pain, not understanding. That is my opinion and others will differ.
Let’s talk about the nature of the Capricorn Moon, a bit. It is a “head over heart” Moon. It will approach situations from a somewhat detached/objective perspective. If it were on a diving board, it would assess the body of water below. It would asses it’s distance from him. It would asses the pros and cons of diving or getting off. It would not just jump. The Cancer Moon, for purposes of our discussion, would just jump.
The Capricorn Moon is like any Capricorn sign, in that it is a master of planning. It is adept in climbing the ladder of success, one rung at a time. It has a serious outlook on life. Most especially, it has old fashioned values and morals, which do not change with superficial times. They endure.
The most important thing to remember about a Capricorn Moon( and any significant Capricorn placement) is that it values quality, above all else. You must be a person of quality in order to be a part of his life. He hates anything cheap, from disloyalty to a loose reputation. He holds himself to very high standards and expects you to do the same. Capricorn is the sign of eating your vegetables before your dessert, something most of us need help in doing. Hence, a Capricorn Moon can help you to be the best YOU can be because he won’t settle for less.
