I, always, wondered why Micheal had to kill Fredo. I am talking about the Godfather, of course. Micheal waited until Mama died. He lured Fredo onto a fishing boat. One heard the fatal shot and that was the end.
Fredo betrayed Michael for ego reasons. Michael was the shining star. Fredo was the incompetent brother. Fredo was not gifted with intelligence and acumen. Hence, it didn’t seem fair that Michael killed him, considering the imminent danger had passed.
I think I have some answers. One must learn life lessons through pain. I do. Each lesson results in a little bit of loss to my heart and a little bit of gain to my mind. Is that just how it is? Back to Fredo and Michael. Fredo betrayed Micheal once. Would he do it again? That is the unknown but could Michael really take that chance? He did not think so. I think that if a person betrays you once, you cannot take that chance either. That is the point.
I think it is one to a customer–one betrayal that is. Beyond that, is it wise to trust at all? I think it is. One must trust if one does not want to become a barren island or a closed off body of water–no entrance, no exit. However, one must choose wisely.
For me, I still think there are loyal Moons. I do think some of the others can be modified by aspects. I still think people view loyalty differently. Moreover,I know what I value. Ain’t that the point?
