I am a Gemini. Please,forgive me.
I am talking about which planet does the action to the other planet? Asteroids carry the same question. I have been cogitating on this question for awhile. So, we will explore it in this article.
I have my own theory of Yin and Yang planets and Yin and Yang asteroids. Yin is the feminine/passive energy. Yang is the masculine/active energy. Hence, the Yang planets DO the action. The Yin planets RECEIVE the action. The Sun, Mars, and Pluto are Yang. Venus and the Moon are Yin. Nessus is Yang. Dejanira is Yin.
I do not use Saturn and Jupiter in the category. Saturn cools what it touches and may make it obsessive and/or insecure.
Jupiter enlarges what it touches, for better or worse. In other words, if Jupiter touches a Nessus, it will be nuclear abuse. If Jupiter touches a Dejanira, it will be nuclear victimization.
If Eros touches Saturn, the person may be obsessive about sex. If Nessus touches Saturn, the person may struggle, mightily, with his abusive side. If Venus touches Saturn, a person may feel unworthy of love.
I do not have a Yin or Yang classification for many of the asteroids. As I use them and see how they function, I classify them.
With that, hopefully, not too meandering preamble, let’s look at some more examples in synastry.
Nessus(Yang) conjunct Venus(Yin)—Nessus will abuse the Venus
Nessus(Yang) conjunct the Moon(Yin)–Nessus will abuse the Moon
Dejanira(yin) conjunct the Sun(Yang)–The Sun will victimize the Dejanira.
Mars(Yang) Conjunct Dejanira(Yin)–The Mars will abuse the Dejanira.
Aphophis( means destruction)( Yang) conjunct Venus–The Apophis will destroy the love nature of the Venus.
I hope that explains the Yin/Yang concept a bit.
When contemplating this subject, one must coalese the meaning of each asteroid or planet and then try to make practical the conjunction. Let’s look at the natal char first. Then, we can look at synastry.I will give examples in the natal chart.
Saturn conjunct Eros–Saturn cools what it touches and makes it obsessive. Hence, this person may feel he has to prove himself sexually
Saturn conjunct Mars— This native may doubt his ability to meet his goals.
Saturn conjunct the Moon—this native may doubt his own emotions i.e not trust himself.
Jupiter conjunct Eros–this native may have great confidence in his sexual prowess, shall we say
Jupiter conjunct Mars–this native may have great trust in his goals. He may go forward with vivacity.
Jupiter conjunct the Moon– this native may have wonderful positive emotions which draw others to him. He may have a strong sense of himself.
