WHAT Is The Big Deal About Orbs?

Orbs is a big subject in Astrology. People fight about it. People have their pet peeves. I will tell you what I think.

There is no “law” with orbs.

However, if I explain how orbs work, you will be better able to use them.

Think of a roaring fire.

You can be right next to it.

You can be a foot away.

You can be three feet away.

You can be twelve feet away.

The intensity of the fire would be different.

In Astrological terms, Mars conjunct Venus in synastry is an instant attraction.

Boy sees girl across the crowded room.

He is smitten.

HOW smitten is he?

An exact orb would be hugely smitten.

One foot away would be quite smitten.

Twelve feet away may be,”She is cute.Maybe, I will go over and say hello”

Let me give another example.

Think of a person who is “plain creepy”

I think of a guy who, always, hugs me too tightly and I feel icky.

In an exact orb, I would feel very icky.

In a 5 degree orb, I would feel less so.

If I saw him across the room( twelve feet), it may not even register.

Hence, orbs are not some “Astrological Law” that cannot be violated.

They are based on energy, as is all of Astrology.

Things that are closer are more intense.

Things that are further away are less intense.

Things that are very far away are ambient.

Think of a woman with perfume that is too strong.

I hate this, so know of what I speak.

If I am next to her in an elevator, it is unbearable.

If I am next to her in a restaurant, it is better.

If she is across the parking lot, it is hardly felt at all.

This is a general article. I do not want to pack it with too much information, so I will write a separate article on orbs for planets and asteroids, if you want.
