There are several ways one can see one’s purpose from the natal chart. I have found that the North Node will play out in the natal chart and in synastry. I would never violate the North Node, in synastry. For example,if a person conjuncts his Chiron(pain) with my North Node, I would run. Period End. If a person conjuncts his Nessus(abuse) with my North Node, I would run. Period End. I have an article on the North Node in synastry. In the natal chart, one can learn many things about one’s purpose from the North Node. Let’s discuss some of those now.
1. What is the Sign of your North Node?
Study the sign of your North Node. You need to ASPIRE to these traits. My North Node is in Sagittarius. I need to aspire to be more adventurous. I need to aspire to travel more, especially long distance travel. I need to be more “happy go lucky” These are traits which come easily to a Sagittarius, but are difficult for someone with the North Node in Sagittarius. 2. What are the aspects to your North Node?
Aspects are very, very important. Good aspects to the NN, such as the trine and sextile will help you get to your purpose easily. Hard aspects will present struggles and blocks. I find that aspects to the NN can explain many things about our lives that we could not understand prior. People with no planetary aspects to the North Node feel lost, as to their purpose. They feel adrift in the world. It is not their fault. In these cases, one must access the asteroids. However, unless the asteroids make very close aspects to the North Node, the planets will be a stronger influence.
3. What is the sign on your South Node
This sign will be one that is accessible and easy for one. The South Node shows us what is natural for us.
4.Asteroids conjunct the North Node
Asteroids personalize the chart. Any asteroid that makes a close conjunction to the North Node will be a theme in your life. I have several articles on the specific asteroids conjunct the NN in the natal chart.
