I have fun making an  Asteroid Pick of Eris.The person is usually obnoxious.I ask them out of the blue, if they have Eris prominently. They may get defensive or find it funny.  All around,  the Eris pick is a good time.  This is not the case with Dejanira. This is a somber pick. There is nothing cute or funny about Dejanira. I have not made a Dejanira pick on a guy. I have not felt it in men. That is not to say that it isn’t there. It just does not fit the inner vibe recognition I have for Dejanira.

Most of my calls have been right. It is not very hard to pick up. There is extreme sensitivity. It would feel like light or noise when you had a migraine headache. These people are so very, very sensitive like a high, high strung race horse. They want to be liked very badly. They want to be accepted, very badly. They do not want to make a mistake. It seems like they would do anything to be loved. There is a great sadness in the Dejanira Asteroid. It is the saddest Asteroid, to me. It seems to wreak the most havoc on people.

I am going to get in trouble for this. Medusa is not politically correct. Medusa has a story that people want to change. Politically correct women don’t like how the Asteroid myths portray women. They want to change what is to what they want it to be.

I got kicked out of an Astrology study group because I won’t change asteroids or anything else to make them more palatable. This is what is wrong with our current society. It is built on lies *Sigh* Why did you get me off on that  .  Back to our subject. Medusa is another sad story. I wonder if all these myths are sad because life is sad. What do you think? I am digressing badly.  Back to Medusa.

Medusa was beautiful and proud of her beauty. She was vain about it, but she was young and didn’t know any better than to flaunt her beauty in front of an older woman, whose beauty was waning. This was an error of youth more than an inherent character flaw in Medusa, in my opinion. At any rate, Medusa had beautiful hair. She made a point to show her beautiful hair to Athena. Medusa wanted to be admired for her beauty. I think it was as simple as that. I don’ t think there was anything nefarious in it.

Athena was jealous. That is the long and short of it. Athena destroyed Medusas beauty so that men would never look at Medusa again. Athena turned Medusa into a monster. The twist to the story is that Medusa turned her hatred on men. She lured men to her and then she killed them.

To bring Medusa into current times and a practical situation, I have seen Medusa play out in the charts of women. One woman had almost a classic Medusa story. She had Medusa conjunt the ASC. This woman was vain.She was not a bad person at all. However, she liked to strut her stuff. I noticed this and would compliment her. She seemed to be asking for compliments for her beauty. As I got to know her better, I saw that she hated the men who responded to her lures. She did lure. Then,she would demean the men that responded. She would call them names and put them down.

I did not say it but thought, “Why do you act all sexy and then get angry when men respond?” Well, I watched this drama but did not say anything. One day, I mentioned the asteroid Medusa. She had it conjunct her ASC. I have made Medusa asteroid picks. I will see someone who is flaunting her sexuality but then bites men when they respond. If you see this, run to check the Asteroid Medusa and I bet you have your man….. I mean, woman.

Sedna can make one you cry, just by reading the myth. Sedna is an easy one to apply as her life is linear. This is unlike many of the myths which the character does so many things that the Astrologer must really struggle to make it practical. Sedna is a story of betrayal by men.

One can feel Sedna’s innocence, at the beginning of the story. Sedna lives with her father. He is not good to her and she wants to marry to get away. This is so like modern times. A wonderful looking  man comes to court her. She accepts his marriage proposal and becomes his wife. He changes into a mean monster. She lives in a tiny cold hut that smells of fish. He treats her terribly and she tries to escape. She escapes back to her father’s home.However, her father is afraid of Sedna’s husband who has powers over the weather. Sedna’s father tries to escape by boat. Sedna swims up to the boat, begging for her father to take her aboard. Her father cuts off her fingers as they pry onto the sides of the boat. Sedna dies and falls to the bottom of the sea.

I make a Sedna Asteroid pick if someone talks about betrayal by men. In the case of the Sedna Asteroid, the betrayal would have to be a life theme, not a one time event. When I hear a story that mirrors the above, I will make an Asteroid pick for Sedna. I have always been right, so far.

Algol is a Fixed star, not an asteroid. I have not picked it, per se. People have told me that they have it and I have tried to feel that person out.I don’t think one could feel out Algol conjunct anything but the ASC, Sun or Moon. In other cases, one may need to know the person quite well. I am referring to Algol conjunct Venus, Mars or Mercury, here. However, I think one could feel out Algol conjunct the ASC, Sun or Moon.

People who have Algol conjunct the ASC, Sun or Moon seem to have a propensity for evil.If they do not do evil things, they want to. They are drawn to evil and dark things as a moth is drawn to light. It is not their fault. It is the nature of their chart.

Recently, I talked to a young man with Algol conjunct the ASC. He thinks he is a sociopath. He says he does not have much conscience. He said that he has a really bad temper and when it gets going, he could really hurt someone before he could stop. He has done this.

If we could call something the Fixed Star for serial killers, it would be Algol. Fixed stars are powerful. Does a person have to be a serial killer if they have a prominent Algol?  No, however, they will be drawn to the dark parts of life. They could do evil easier than someone without this. That would be my conclusion on the matter.

I wish I could add more of a practical nature. I don’t have more. I wish there was more information on the web, of a practical nature. I ask for your experiences, once again. That is how we all learn.

I have this conjunct Venus. Some Fixed stars are all good. Some are all bad. Some offer you gifts but say you will FALL if you misuse them.. Aldebaran is the latter. I was in a situation where I could have fallen mightily. I had to do with love( venus). God protected me. It was only Divine intervention that saved me because I was not naive to figure it out myself. After that, I came to understand Aldebaran better. It will give you great honor and riches. However, it stipulates that you act with intergrity. If not, the fall will be bad. The fall will be all the way to the bottom

People seemed to really like the Venus/Mars combo, so I will do some articles with combos. The goal for the Astrologer is to make a 3D person from a 2D chart. The degree to which one can do this is the degree to which one is an outstanding Astrologer. If you are reading this,  you care about Astrology. Hence, I hope this article will help in the goal which we all want to achieve—to make a full flesh and blood person from the symbols on a piece of paper which is the natal chart.

Pholus explodes what it touches. Hence, one would see the planet or asteroid Pholus explodes, not Pholus per se. I have taken special note of Pholus because I have seen him at work in my own chart. I have Pholus conjunct Chiron, exact. If you know me, you know I explode pain. Am I proud of it?  Not really? Is it that bad? Not really.

Pholus is kind of a strange bird because he explodes things, so people can heal. Sometimes, he just explodes things. One must be fair and say that. However, when something explodes, one can face it and heal it.

With Pholus conjunct Chiron, I will explode pain. This helps me deal with it, obviously. However, it allows others to deal with their own pain. Most people will not share their pain. I, probably, would not either, if Pholus did not conjunct the planet of pain. Pholus is kind of like diaherria, not to be gross. However, Pholus will do what Pholus wants to do. One goes along for the ride. So, for a person with Pholus conjunct Chiron, the pressure cooker lid will be left off Chiron.

Now, Pholus can be conjunct many things in the natal chart. I will share some I have seen. Pholus conjunct Ceres is pure magic. Ceres is unconditional love. I know someone with this and he explodes a kind of unconditional love. It is very warm.

Pholus conjunct the Sun may have poor impulse control. The native may explode before he thinks. This is not something one would choose. However, knowing about it should help.

I have seen Pholus in synastry. It made me laugh. I was kind of reluctant to ask the girl about it. There was Pholus conjunct the North Node,  double whammy. A Double Whammy is an aspect that is repeated twice in synastry.

I asked the girl if the relationship felt explosive and out of control. She said yes.

If I see a person exploding something, whatever it may be, good or bad, I would think P-H-O-L-U-S with a capital P. Pholus’ number is 5145.

I got this request for information on Lilith/Mars in the natal. Please, put your requests on my Comment Form and I will try to write articles on them,  if I can.

I was talking about natal aspect for any individual. I cant find any satisfactory explanations on the web and you always explain things clearly on this site. I wanted to to know about Mars-Lilith aspects just like I understand Mars-Pluto aspects.

Lilith is raw sexuality. Mar is drive, all drives. Mars is your drive to find a job, ask that cute girl out for a date or be the first one to answer the question in class. Mars is pure drive, so it manifests in many ways. Passion is just one of them, but an important one. God made us sexual creatures. God made us passionate creatures. If you don’t like this, take it up with God, not me ^^

In this study, we must look at the Mars sign. Some Mars are Jags. Some are clunkers. Some are sensible cars like Volvos or Saabs. Some are sports cars like the Fiat. Some are sedans like my all time favorite car, the Crown Vic. At any rate, one’s Mars will be how one pursues ANY goals. If the goal is a cute girl or the goal is a dream job, the Mars in Scorpio will score 100%. He will shoot the ball into the hoop. The Mars in Cancer will have to struggle mightily to do what comes natural to the Mars in Scorpio. The Mars in Cancer can do it, but it will be a struggle. He will never do it as effortlessly as the Mars in Scorpio or with the panache. That is just a simple example of  Mars in the Domicile and a Mars in the Fall.

If we take a brief look at other Mars, Mars in Libra can’t make decisions. Mars in Aries will stand up and fight but he may be too hasty. Mars in Taurus will deliberate about anything but can stick to it. Mars in Gemini, Saggi and Pisces do not have great staying power for any goal. Mars in Virgo is very anal and can get lost in the details. Mars in Cappi is a superstar, especially when it comes to career. Mars in Aqua can make a goal, stick to it and can have a true integrity in the process. This is a brief look at the Mars signs before we go on to the combo of Mars/Lilith.

Lilith is raw sexuality. It does not have overtones of love. It does not have overtones of connection. It is raw passion of two magnets meeting. When we add the specific Mars to it, we need to take into account the workings of  each Mars sign. Mars in Scorpio conjunct Lilith will be more nuclear powered  than Mars in Cancer conjunct Lilith. I think I have made the point of taking into consideration the Mars sign. Now, lets go onto Lilith.

We could have one of several situations. We could have Mars conjunct Lilith. The conjunction is always more powerful than any other aspect. Think of sitting right next to someone. You smell his cologne. You feel his body next to yours. That is much more powerful than sitting across the table from him. Likewise, the conjunction trumps any aspect.

If we have a Lilith/Mars conjunction in the natal, we are going to have  a sexy, charismatic person. This person will vibe sex, even if he is the tottering Mars in Cancer. The conjunction of Mars with Lilith will make a powerhouse, sex god of a man, barring sign.

The  trine would make an easy flow  of the person’s raw sexuality with his drive. This person would, probably, not have huge hang ups about being a sexual person. He would accept it, as water flows down an valley.. That is a good picture of a trine. A trine is a gift. It is effortless and unearned. It comes so easily to the native that he believes all people have it.

The opposition of Mars/Lilith may start to get into the hang up area. This person may feel very passionate but go back and forth with it. He may come out of his shell as a Don Juan but go back in as a Daffy Duck. It feels like a struggle and it is. That is the nature of the opposition. Think of a see-saw. One person is up and the other is down. Then, the other is up and the other is down. It is not really pleasant when you think about it.

The square is a locked in energy. Some people get mad at me and tell me I am fatalistic. This is my opinion. There are some things that are going to be with us for life, barring a true miracle of God. In the latter, all things can change. However , this is  very rare.

The square polarizes the person. On the one hand, he may be very passionate. On the other, he may be afraid to express it. I would call this a neurotic placement. I will get flak for that but that is what I think. A square puts each side into a compartment. Hence, one tries to deal with one side and the other won’t budge. One tries to deal the other side and the former won’t budge. Not a pretty placement.

The quincunx is a cool aspect. It allows for integration of both sides but it takes WORK. One will forge a whole new part of himself. It is like combining a peach with a tangerine. You get a nectarine, a whole new fruit.

Jamie asked me about this. I bet other people have the same question, so I will try to give a simple explanation.

I know I am not alone in this. I will tell you my story. I could never shine. I had to make sure that a Malignant Narcissist mother shone. I was punished when I outshone her and I could. I was punished when I made her look bad by being better. The fear of shining stayed with me for my whole life.

I must have some curse that Mal Narc women seem to dog me. The same people who dogged you in childhood dog you until you learn the lessons.At any rate, I have the Malignant Narcissist women from hell seem to find me and ride me until I cast them off like a fishing reel  into the ocean.

*Sigh* My lesson must be to beat them into oblivion like I could never do to my Malignant Narcissist  mother. I suppose when I beat enough of them into oblivion,  I will have won the Karma prize, even though I don’t believe in Karma.

Well, I have the same Malignant Narcissist dogging me that I have had for four years. Have I  learned to beat her down? I suppose I have. God will intervene and give her a punch, at times, which is always good, too.

I got  a Comment from “Name”. She may be one of my friends posting as an Anonymous. I suspect she is, but I don’t know who it is. She gives the answers in the Teacher’s Book. I remember how the Teacher’s Book was so coveted. All the math answers were in that holy grail. One could hope to understand Geometry like a whiz, if one could only get  one’s hand on it.

I got my hand on a Teacher’s Book, once. There was all I could hope for  laid out in black and white, all the answers. The problem was that teachers made you show your work.  A simple answer would not do for those prison wardens. You had to know how to do the darn problem.

Herein lies the rub for people who tell you to take a fast track to the Teacher’s Book. Are they right? Yes. Does it help? Yes, it does help a bit. Will it take you to the point that you know how to do the problems? NO, that comes by falling and getting up, falling and getting up, falling and getting up. Then, one day, you don’t fall as hard.  Then, another day, you  fall a little easier. Then, one day, you walk away.

I know “Name” did not mean to throw guilt or condemnation on me. I could feel her spirit and it was kind. However, things don’t work in a simple way, as she intimated. Maybe, she knew this and was just giving the answer from the Teachers Book and that is OK. However, one must know how to do the problems when test time comes along. If not, one would be accused of cheating. One would be cheating. Don’t ya know it?

God sent me a wonderful friend. He will know who he is when he reads this. This person showed me that I will never push friendships again. They happen naturally. I remember when I was a child and I would recognize a friend. It was a falling in love of sorts.

At any rate, this man helped me to see myself and I helped him to see himself. In the process, we started talking about boundaries. It went into my head and then I forgot it. However, after my last article some wonderful things happened. They were not big outer things  but big inner things, which are  better.

I wrote the article about the Malignant Narcissist. After that, something in me opened . *”Names” commented and  he was right. When one has a huge problem with someone, one has a  trauma hole that is filled by this person. That is not to say that the person is not obnoxious, but there are many obnoxious people in the world, from whom one can simply walk away.  Hence, the person making one  deleriously crazy has a hook . “Name’s” words went deep. He was right. I  took that as a lesson. I could see how I was making my own heaven and hell, if one could call it that. I was designing the pages of the book, walking in and blaming someone else.

This is how I have lived my life since my early teens. It was normal to me.  There was no gap of awareness through which I could walk through to a new reality. Understanding this helped me to understand the people who hurt me. They had no gap of awareness, either.

One wonders how one goes from one state to the next. Several things  happened to me in the past few months. I made a commitment to make the Bible   more a part of my daily life. I like Kennth Hagin the best. I threw away all my other CDs because they pale next to Hagin.  Little by little, the Bible started permeating me.

I had a  a hard kernel of pain, which I defended. When one has a hard kernel of pain, one does not want others near . One can  take few chances that others will add to it. Hence, one is isolated, even if  in a crowd, as the saying goes.

My hard kernel, to which I was madly defending, was shame. I truly felt I had to be perfect to be loved or love myself. I don’t even know what perfect looked like but knew  *I* was not it. One day, I was walking in my garden thinking that I screwed up, once again, because everything was a mess. Then, I felt a prompting inside. It was “telling” me that I had a beautiful garden and that was not a failure.

I felt strange thinking of this new paradigm but it felt reasonable. Later, I was in my garden again. This time, an inner prompting said that being normal does not mean being perfect. Once again, I knew there was powerful wisdom in those words.

Later, I met my friend and he felt like a kindred soul. One needs kindred souls on one’s journey.  Many people will not understand but a few will. God will bring you the few, if you ask. I did ask, although I forgot. At any rate, my friend and I talked about everything and I felt I could venture out of my diamond encrusted crab shell, a bit. That was part of my awakening.

Today, when I went to the bank and out to eat, it felt different. People were not what I thought. They were not what my mother taught me. They were not perfect and I, flawed. They were flawed parts of God’s humanity like I was. Everything was  the same, yet everything was different and  that is the story up to this point.

He moved, effortlessly, under the radar, such that I swear he could shape shift.  He was  dressed in black: gloves and the rest. He looked like a panther come to life. I should never have loved him, but I could not help it. I am a strange bird, myself. I am not as I seem, either, so we  were  the perfect pair, in theory. In actuality, it was the worst pain I ever had.

How I came to this point takes some explaining. One does not pop out of the cake doing self destructive things. One builds up to it. In my case, I was fighting so many inner demons  I did not notice an outer one, especially when he was so darn delicious.

I fall for words. The people around me call me  names like pumpkin and sweet pea. Words make my heart swell. Words break it. Most men can’t talk. It is the rare one who can.  That is my Achilles heel. So, of course I would fall for the Panther. It was the chemical reaction of H and O2. It explodes.  Voila.

Do you ever wonder the mechanism for human addiction?  The yang grabs the yin and they become the yin/yang. That is the short version. My version will take time, like the whispers of the panther that made me do things I shouldn’t.

I was so stupid. Do you know what I mean? I was so stupid that only the  Great One could save me from myself . He did,  but only after I did enough damage that it was one of those rescues at sea, where the victim arrives on the shore, half dead.

I don’t know how I got so lost from the internal compass we all have. My dial spun until it exhausted itself and broke.  It must be that, among other things.

I could never share a man. Can any women? I mean, for real? Women talk dumb.I didn’t know that talk was about as cheap as the rest of the things they did.

I went into a deep slumber  from my early teens on. It made me like a dunce in emotional affairs. That is how one steps in it and  good.

So, you want me to move on. I hear you. You think I’m a tease. Yes, I have been called that but this is not what this is about. This is how I became noire. My mother molested me. She put me down on the floor at her ankles and masturbated in front of me.  She looked into my eyes with an expression that could only be  utter hatred.

I was too young  to utter physical  words but in my head I knew them. I want to die. I want to die. I want to die.   The words brought  me comfort.  They were  noire words. They seemed to make time stop but  not the blackness  that lifted it’s hand to my neck and squeezed.

I don’t look noire.  God must have graced me with enough light that I do not  bring down the room with  sadness but noire has a life of it’s own. It escapes and makes me do crazy things, which brings me back to my original subject, forgotten in the digression, maybe.

The Panther knew these things. He had his own version, wrapped in it’s own dark paper like  they have in Over the Hill parties. All the balloons and napkins are black.The cupcakes  even have black frosting.  The panther  knew my dirty little secret, even though I never breathed a word.

That was what made me love him and I love him still. Once you have to say words, you have lost something. It is a crazy thing,  but who can stop noire when it runs out of it’s cage, free as a bird. It has it’s own rhythm  and one must dance to the beat, unimpeded.

I thought my Panther understood it all but now, I am not sure. Was it a chimera? I like that word. It sounds big and smart like I am big and smart. Maybe, he never understood a thing and I was fooled this whole time. I get flashes that  this is so. I  may have wanted it so badly that I made it all up. I made him a man who understood the music when  he only knew the words.

The Panther went away to better pastures and better pastures and better pastures, forever thus. I never forgot him.  He remains and will remain. He is probably an archetype of the man you loved but could never have. Maybe, if you had him, he would become some weird chemical that is solid rock  but when you touch it, it  becomes liquid.

He is a panther, so he was made to run free. No matter  how alluring I was, the shine would tarnish with time. A shinier thing would come along. It would be forever thus. My Panther is like a baby who drops one bauble to pick up another. Around him are all the baubles like discarded Christmas balls.

However, he will remain with me  like the people who freeze themselves to come back to life in the age of super technology.  Maybe, I will see my Panther in Heaven.  Maybe, I won’t care by then,  probably the latter.

I am still noire. It does not go away on a dime. It peeks out it’s head because it  does not  like to be squished.

I put on  pumps, a twinset and pearls. I put my hair in a French Twist with a tendril or two escaping. I put the noire away until the time that someone calls it out again, or it just dies.
